Prior to Gradient, Clayton led teams at McKinsey & Company in their Technology and Investing practices, where he helped founders and growth investors scale cybersecurity, infrastructure, and vertical software businesses. He worked directly with operators to launch new products and scale go-to-market engines through direct enterprise sales & partnerships.

Clayton began his career as a software engineer at Microsoft and Expedia, and studied computer science at Texas A&M.

He lives in San Francisco and loves to travel to Formula 1 races.
